Dickson and Rendall have now been open in the lovely old town of Petworth, West Sussex for over a year, and our pretty little blue shop in the High Street with its iconic olive tree on the pavement outside, where we have our lunch, is becoming a part of the scene here. On a hot day people mistake us for a French Brasserie! We are slowly introducing the 21st century to the town in the form of furniture, lighting, mirrors and contemporary paintings by a brilliant artist we discovered in the south of France, who is enormously talented. Two of her pictures are on display in our gallery.
We are so happy here, and have reunited with an old friend, David Swanson, who has a very cool and eclectic shop in the same street, next to the Hungry Guest, selling early furniture and porcelain, which compliments our mid century items. He has been here for thirty five years and has welcomed us warmly.📷Among our latest buys is a wonderful 3 meter long enamel table specially commissioned for an architect in Dijon, France in 1972 for his work drawings.
A large pair of Venetian mirrors c1920, which are notoriously hard to find. We have yet to add this pair to our website but they can be viewed in our showroom. You can view our other Antique Mirrors online.
The last of our latest finds is this large art deco urn/birdbath in concrete, simple and chic.Petworth is only just over an hour by car from London, and we look forward to welcoming you here.
